Some tips for the hunt

01.

Wear dark, comfortable clothing, that can get dirty

Proper clothing is very important for any hunt. You want to make sure your clothes are breathable for summer nights, and warmer of course for the winter hunts. Most likely you will need to get down on the ground as we approach the hogs, so be sure you are wearing something you don't mind getting dirty. Additionally, clothes that may make noise, like nylon track suits, you might want to avoid, as our intention is to be stealthy.

02.

Check the weather forecast

This point ties in with our first one, as weather in Florida can be unpredictable and we want you to be dressed accordingly. Just because it's hot during the day, doesn't mean the temperatures won't drop significantly at night. Rain can come out of nowhere on a seemingly cloudless day, so be sure to wear or bring a rain jacket if rain is forecasted. We will still go out if it rains, as long as it is not a hurricane.

03.

Practice synchronized firing

For those that are less experienced shooters, we will help you to practice synchronized firing before we head out on the hunt. However, if you have weapons of your own, we suggest practicing this type of firing before coming on the hunt, as it is key to getting the most hogs.

04.

Mind your step!

Even though the hunt is at night, please try your best to watch where you are walking for a number of reasons. Obviously the woods can be uneven, and we wouldn't want you to have a misstep, but more importantly, be aware that Florida does have snakes and other animals that may not appreciate being stepped on.

05.

bring or wear bug repellant

Florida summers bring out all kinds of critters, especially mosquitos and noseeums around dusk when we will be starting the hunt. If you want to protect yourself from any bites, we advise you either bring bug repellant or apply it shortly before you arrive.
